Most job seekers refresh LinkedIn and Naukri.com 10 times a day.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
By the time a job appears there, hundreds - sometimes thousands - have already applied.
What most people don’t realise is this:
👉 Many companies don’t actively promote every opening on job boards.
👉 They publish directly through their Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
👉 And Google indexes those pages.
Which means…
You can find jobs before they get crowded.
Let me show you how.
Go to Google and type:
site:[ATS platform] (“Role” AND “Location”)
You’re telling Google:
Only show results from a specific ATS
Only show pages that contain your role + location
This filters out noise and surfaces live job listings directly from company career pages.
Here are some of the most widely used ATS domains:
careers.workable.com
jobs.jobvite.com
jobs.adp.com
jobs.lever.co
jobs.smartrecruiters.com
wd1.myworkdayjobs.com
jobs.bamboohr.com
careers.icims.com
apply.jazz.co
boards.greenhouse.io
These platforms power career pages for thousands of companies globally.
Type this into Google:
site:jobs.smartrecruiters.com (“Product Manager” AND “Remote”)
You’ll see direct listings hosted on SmartRecruiters — often before they trend on job boards.
site:jobs.lever.co (“Business Analyst” AND “Remote”)
This pulls listings from companies using Lever as their ATS.
You can go deeper and include multiple titles:
site:boards.greenhouse.io (“Product Designer" OR "UI Designer" OR "UX/UI Designer" OR "User Experience Designer" OR "User Interface Designer" OR "UX Researcher" OR "UI Developer" OR “UX Designer") AND "Remote"
This helps you:
Capture title variations
Avoid missing opportunities
Broaden your search without losing relevance
Most candidates:
Only apply through job boards
Compete with 500+ applicants
Wait for roles to be “recommended” to them
But when you search via ATS platforms:
✔ You reach listings earlier
✔ You face less competition
✔ You often apply directly on the company’s system
It’s a small tactical shift.
But it changes the game.
Replace “Remote” with a city (e.g., “Bengaluru” or “Mumbai”)
Try variations of your title (“Senior Business Analyst”, “Associate Product Manager”)
Save searches in Google and check once daily
Combine with industry keywords (“Fintech”, “SaaS”, “Healthcare”)
Example:
site:wd1.myworkdayjobs.com (“Business Analyst” AND “Bengaluru” AND “Fintech”)
The more specific you get, the sharper your results.
Finding jobs is no longer about working harder.
It’s about:
Searching smarter
Reducing competition
Moving faster
If you rely only on platforms like LinkedIn and Naukri.com, you’re fishing where everyone else is fishing.
Start fishing where fewer people look.
That’s where the real edge is.
