DB2 DBA // DB2 LUW Administrator

As a DB2 Administrator, candidate would involve in activities, troubleshooting database & key responsible for Migration, Upgrading activities including DB2 replication suite and services. Responsibilities - Product lifecycle Management of DB2 LUW Product including replication suite Perform Health check activities, monitoring, backup, space management, Maintenance i.e. Reorg / Run stat utilities Follow-up CIRATS i.e. Compliance, Issue, Risk and APAR (Authorized Program Analysis Report) Tracking System User management and BAU activities Setup and maintenance of Data replication services Disaster recovery and business continuity planning Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery DB2 node directory / catalog configuration Database performance tuning and troubleshooting 24*7 on call support for DB2 portfolio and applications Provide best in class solutions for all business needs Explore and help organization to implement best technical practises / recommendations to reduce technical debt and cost Managing and maintaining physical databases including database storage management, procedures and tools for access, database security, monitoring and tuning the database Analysing system storage capacity and recommending improvements to ensure efficiency Assisting in the design and implementation of the physical framework of the database Required Skillset - 6+ years of relevant experience in DB2 LUW Administration Good experience with Performance tuning and troubleshooting High availability solutions HACMP, TSA, MSCS Cluster Monitoring, backup, recovery, IBM Data Server Manager, TSM , Commvault Data replication, Q-replication & CDC Implementing DB2 key features Desirable experience with Db2 Pure scale Experience with tools i.e. ITM, Nagios, Service Now Experience with automation and scripting such as CRON, PowerShell, Shell Scripting Experience with configuring and usage of Clustering, db2diag and notification logs, snapshot and event monitor Experience with use of problem and change management tools .
