About the role
🎤 Strategic Project Manager - a letter from the person you'd work with
Most job ads are written by no one, for everyone. I want to do this differently.
This role reports directly to me, and whoever takes it will work closely with me and the rest of the management team. So instead of a template, here's what this job is, how I work, and how you can decide whether it's for you.
💡 What this job actually is
As voize grows, so does its complexity. More teams, more markets, more moving parts. And with that comes work that matters but doesn't naturally belong to anyone: a project that cuts across three teams. A new initiative that needs someone to get it off the ground. A problem everyone sees but nobody has the capacity to solve.
We're building a CEO Office to own exactly this work. You'd be its second hire.
I fundamentally believe in the value of generalists: people who can walk into an unfamiliar topic, make sense of it, and get things done. You'd be our Swiss Army knife, moving between different parts of the company and taking responsibility wherever it's needed.
Sometimes you'll own a project with a clear finish line. You solve the problem, deliver the result, and move on. Sometimes you'll build something that needs to keep running. Then your job includes finding its long-term home in the organization and handing it over properly. Either way, you own it until it works.
One week you're working on a question that shapes a management decision. The next you're chasing down details, coordinating teams, or doing operational groundwork nobody will ever applaud. Both matter equally. If "done" is your favorite word, keep going.
🚀 How I work
I give trust and autonomy by default. The way I see my job as a manager: agree on clear goals, give you the resources to get there, unblock you when you're stuck, teach you what I know, and then get out of the way. I care about outcomes, not hours.
The flip side: you'll get a lot of freedom and little oversight. That's a gift if you work autonomously, and a problem if you don't. Autonomy doesn't mean silence, though. I expect you to ask for help early, not after something has quietly derailed.
I'm very opinionated and direct. You'll always know where you stand with me, and I expect the same back, including telling me when you think I'm wrong.
You'll also work closely with the rest of the management team. Many of your projects will depend on people who don't report to you. Building trust, understanding their priorities, and getting people moving together will be a big part of the job.
🎯 What I look for
Your background matters less than your pattern. You might come from consulting, VC, a startup, or something you built yourself. What I care about is this: you take ownership before anyone assigns it. You can be dropped into a topic you know nothing about and produce clarity within days. You can structure a messy problem, make a sound recommendation, and then do the work to put it into practice.
You hold a high bar without anyone checking. You ask a sharp question early instead of defending a wrong assumption late. And you stay involved through the less exciting final steps that make something actually work.
If you read that and felt recognized rather than impressed, good sign.
🌱 Why voize
The care crisis is one of the most existential problems we face: fewer and fewer people caring for more and more of us. We build something that genuinely helps. Over 200,000 caregivers use voize to win back time for people instead of paperwork.
We combine real impact with high ambition and high speed. We raised a $50m Series A from leading investors like Balderton and HV, and there is a lot ahead of us. This role will help turn that ambition into things that work across the company.
🤝 The deal
This job will be intense, and it will be fun. You'll work closely with me, the CEO, and the rest of the management team, with exposure to every part of the company.
I think that breadth, combined with real responsibility for delivering results, is an exceptional foundation for whatever you want to build or lead later. I'll invest in your growth personally, and we'll shape the role together as you and the company develop.
If you read this and think this is for you, please apply, no matter who you are or what background you have. I want to meet you 🫶
