Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire , to join a supportive specialist education setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable SEN experience, develop your skills and build a rewarding career in education.
The Role
As a SEN Support Assistant, you will help students access learning, develop independence and build confidence in a safe, inclusive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support.
- Supporting students with communication, sensory, social and emotional needs.
- Assisting teachers with engaging and differentiated learning activities.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, wellbeing and personal development.
- Supporting independence, life skills and confidence.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
- Providing personal care support where required and following safeguarding procedures.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Care Assistants and Support Workers , as well as candidates looking to start a career in special education.
You will need a patient, compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people. Previous SEN experience is desirable, but a willingness to learn and undertake specialist training is equally important.
