Junior Civil Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Civil Engineer role based in Guwahati. The Junior Civil Engineer will assist in planning, designing, and reviewing civil works related to commercial real estate projects, including site layouts, infrastructure, and utilities. Responsibilities include supporting stormwater management designs, preparing drawings and technical documentation, coordinating with senior engineers, architects, and contractors, and helping ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards. The role also involves conducting site inspections, gathering field data, and contributing to project reports and estimates. The Junior Civil Engineer will collaborate with project and marketing teams to align engineering solutions with project timelines, budgets, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure all work complies with approved technical drawings, design specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor projects from conception through to completion.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, site workers, consultants, and material suppliers.
• Conduct routine site inspections, execute measurements, and perform quality checks.
• Assist with site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and securing regulatory approvals.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and reports.
• Ensure the availability and efficient utilization of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and local building codes.
• Attend site meetings, liaise with design and engineering teams, and assist in resolving technical issues on-site.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Hands-on experience in executing civil work (0 to 3 years of experience in site engineering roles preferred; note that standard site engineer roles typically require up to 3 years of experience).
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building materials, and quality control.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities.
• Excellent team player with positive communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, interpret blueprints, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month (based on experience).
