About the Role

Kuvam Technologies is looking for an experienced Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of CNC/VMC/HMC machine tools and related components, including spindles, rotary tables and angle heads. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on technical experience, good problem-solving skills and the ability to provide service support at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform installation, commissioning and servicing of CNC, VMC and HMC machines and related equipment.

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and operational issues in machine tools.

3. Handle inspection, maintenance, repair and servicing of CNC spindles, rotary tables and angle heads.

4. Conduct preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance at customer sites.

5. Identify faults, determine root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.

6. Provide on-site technical support to customers and ensure timely resolution of service complaints.

7. Coordinate with customers, internal teams and vendors for technical support and spare-parts requirements.

8. Prepare service reports, maintenance records and customer visit reports.

9. Maintain records of spare parts, service tools and inventory used during service activities.

10. Travel to customer locations as required for installation, breakdown support and maintenance.

11. Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service, professional communication and effective problem resolution.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

- Hands-on experience with CNC, VMC and HMC machine tools.

- Knowledge of CNC spindle, rotary table and angle head servicing.

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.

- Understanding of machine installation, commissioning and preventive maintenance.

- Basic knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc and Siemens is preferred.

- Basic electrical, PLC and machine automation knowledge is an advantage.

- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

- Good communication, customer-handling and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 3–8 years of relevant experience in CNC/VMC machine servicing, machine tools or industrial equipment maintenance.

- Candidates with direct experience in spindle servicing, rotary tables, HMC/VMC machines or precision machine-tool components will be preferred.

- Experience in installation, commissioning, breakdown maintenance and customer-site support is essential.

- Should be comfortable working independently at customer locations and coordinating with the technical team.
