Role Description

The Video Editor role at HAIR RAP BY YOYO is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Video Editor will capture, edit, and produce high-quality video content that showcases the salon’s services, transformations, and brand story for digital platforms. Daily responsibilities include assembling raw footage, applying cuts and transitions, color grading, adding sound and music, and incorporating graphics or motion elements to enhance visual appeal. The role also involves collaborating closely with the salon team to plan content, maintain brand consistency, and optimize videos for social media and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production, including planning shoots, capturing footage, and managing basic lighting and sound.
• Candidates should possess advanced Video Editing skills, including timeline management, transitions, and storytelling through visual sequences.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, polished, and brand-aligned visual output.
• Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to create engaging titles, overlays, and visual elements for digital content.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or similar).
• Strong understanding of social media formats and best practices for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Ability to collaborate with creative and salon teams, take feedback constructively, and meet deadlines reliably.
• Prior experience in lifestyle, beauty, or fashion content creation is an advantage; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant work is highly beneficial.
