About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Shutdown Planner is responsible for developing and coordinating shutdown plans for the processing plant and associated infrastructure.

Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain and contractors, you will establish clear work scopes, develop detailed schedules and ensure labour, materials, equipment and services are ready ahead of each shutdown. Your focus will be on delivering safe, well-prepared shutdowns that minimise plant downtime, control costs and improve asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain shutdown scopes, work packs and schedules, ensuring work is clearly defined, prioritised and achievable within shutdown timeframes.
  • Coordinate labour, contractors, equipment, materials and specialist services to support successful shutdown execution.
  • Liaise with Operations, Maintenance and Supply Chain to manage plant access, isolations, material readiness and return-to-service requirements.
  • Review maintenance backlogs, inspection findings and statutory requirements to identify and prioritise shutdown work.
  • Support shutdown budgeting, cost control and scope management while communicating risks, milestones and progress to stakeholders.
  • Monitor shutdown performance and coordinate post-shutdown reviews, ensuring work completion, close-out activities and continuous improvement initiatives are captured.
