Supervisor Registered Nurse Nursing NE

• Location: Hoffman Estates, IL
• Facility: Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital
• Department: Nursing Administration
• Schedule: Evenings | Part time | 3:00 PM - 11:30PM with every other weekend and holiday commitment.

• Team Leadership & Oversight: Supervise and direct interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed staff to deliver high-quality, population-appropriate patient care. Interview job candidates and provide hiring recommendations for new unit staff.
• Daily Workflow & Delegation: Assess shift-level patient needs, create care assignments, and delegate duties based on staff competencies and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Care Planning: Gather input from healthcare team members to plan and coordinate patient care across the assigned unit.
• Performance Evaluation & Coaching: Provide immediate feedback, continuously assess staff performance, and contribute to performance reviews and corrective actions.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience Required.

Additional Preferences:

• A Bachelors Degree in nursing is a must.
• 1 years experience in a supervisory or management position is a must.
